The former lawyer of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the American Assem Ghafour, after he was convicted in absentia, on charges of “committing two crimes of tax evasion and money laundering related to a tax evasion operation in his count.
He was to three years in prison, a fine of three million dirhams ($816,000), and was deported.
His charges has no indication that it has anything to do with Khashoggi or anything else.
