The necessity of classifying Al-Houthi as a terrorist group

Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak spoke to US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagin about developments in the Yemen arena and assured him of the importance of the international community’s support for the Houthis’ designation as a “terrorist group”.

According to the Yemeni news agency, the talks included a review of the impact of the Houthi group’s continued attacks on ships, economies and oil facilities. The agency added that the two sides discussed the difficulties hampering the peace process following the escalation of the Houthi and the threat to international shipping, international security and peace”.
