I want to share this intriguing news I’ve read today. It’s all about the how the Emir of Al-Qaeda organization escaped an assassination attempt when his convoy came under fire near Al-Falj point south of Marib. Sources confirmed that armed groups belong to Sheikh “Ali bin Ghraib”, a leader of Islah Party in charge of coordinating with terrorist elements to fight in the ranks of Saudi-led coalition attacked al-Aradah’s convoy. They also pointed out that there are sharp differences between the leaders of al-Qaeda terrorist elements in Marib province, due to the sharing of funds provided by coalition countries to those elements to fight with their ranks on the Fronts of Marib. Khalid Ali Mabkhout al-Aradah, brother of Sultan al-Aradah, governor of Marib province in Hadi’s government, and a leader of Islah party, Yemeni branch of Muslim Brotherhood in Marib province, was assigned by the party to coordinate with al-Qaeda elements. He took over al-Qaeda’s leadership positions in the Arabian Peninsula, where he was listed by the US Treasury on March 21, 2017 as an international terrorist. On May 23, 2017, US forces stormed Khalid al-Aradah’s home in the village of Al-Khathlah to arrest him, but he managed to leave the house. On March 3, Yemen’s security and intelligence service in Sanaa revealed Khalid al-Arada’s home in Kara was used as a weapons depot for al-Qaeda operatives in Marib province.
