I want to share this intriguing news I’ve read today. It’s alla bout the Egyptian army announced on Friday that it killed 13 extremists in Sinai Peninsula, in the northeastern region of the country, as part of anti-terrorist operations in that territory. Military spokesman Gharib Abdel-Hafez said in a communique that 15 automatic rifles, abundant ammunition and several motorcycles used by the radical groups to carry out their attacks, were seized. In early August, the army informed that it killed 89 terrorists in that Egyptian region during an offensive, although the date of the campaign was not specified. In those operations, it added, 73 machine guns, 140 chargers, drones with night vision and money were confiscated, while more than 400 explosive devices were deactivated. Armed groups that swore allegiance to the Islamic State terrorist organization are operating in the northern region of Egypt’s troubled Sinai Peninsula.
